In 13 months that I have been blogging I have NEVER experienced ANY problems with setting up a giveaway, but this one gave me SOOOO many problems. It actually deleted ALL of the entries TWICE when I was almost done. So now that you all have heard my sad story you HAVE to enter! Hahah jk, but no you really should because once again my sponsors have outdone themselves! Meet this month's sponsors:

Sunday Social #45

Okay guys I promise that this will not become a habit, I have just been busy and TOTALLY forgot to post this yesterday :( so here it is today!

What is your favorite store to shop at?

Maurices of course! If you do not love to shop where you work then there must be something wrong!

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

I am in love with these two fashion houses.

What is your must have closet staple?

It all depends on the season.

Spring is: dresses
Summer is: shorts
Fall is: hoodies
Winter is: boots

What is your favorite kind of shoes?

I am all about sandals, they are comfortable, and by wearing them I can show off my cute pedicure ;)

What is the best clothing deal you've ever gotten?

Last year at Maurices I scored BIG! I bought

3 dresses
1 pair of boots
5 pairs of shorts
2 tops
and some accessories
for $30!! I was SOOO proud of myself :)

What is a style you'd love to try?

This dark ombre hair! I love it!!!

Hi dolls! Hope ya'll are having a wonderful weekend! Today I am introducing you to the beautiful and talented Jenny, she just opened up her newest etsy shop Lollipop Swirlz! She is giving a special promo code to her shop EXCLUSIVELY to my readers, PLUS there might or might not be a giveaway involved ;)

Tell me a little bit about yourself!

Let me see...So much to tell. First and foremost I am a wife and mother. I am a photographer. You can check out my photography work on my photography Facebookpage.  I have several Etsy shops. Two for jewelry, one for tutus and hair accessories and one for beading supplies. I am proud to say that because of all of my hard work with all my businesses I am able to work from home and be with my daughter. I also love to blog and do makeup.  I enjoy writing so much I finished my first novel but after staying away from it for a good year I am now looking to go back, make changes and hopefully get it published.

Tell me about your shop!

I actually have several Etsy shops but Lollipop Swirlz is my newest shop. I have several different styles of jewelry I design but this shop is for my fun, colorful and playful designs. For several of the pieces I actually make all the beads myself out of clay.

What inspired you to start your shop?

People including strangers were always complimenting my creations so I decided to open a shop. My Etsy shops help to enable me to work from home so I can be with my daughter more.

How did you come up with your shop’s name?

Everyone tells me that my clay pieces look like candy so that was basis on trying to come up with a name.

Shop's Social media:

This particular shop doesn't have it's own social media accounts but I often write and post about my latest designs on my blog's social media outlets:

Any specials going on during the month of May in your shop?

I am offering free shipping to all Girl Booklet readers...Coupon code: FREESHIP

Favorite piece:

At the moment it's the neon braided friendship bracelet. I love these friendship bracelets with a chain base and I love neon/bright colors. So I cannot go wrong with this!

Jenny is giving away a neon friendship bracelet AND a custom pair of clay earrings!

Summer Beauty [guest post] & a giveaway

It has been such a long time that I've had someone do a guest post, so I am glad Christine decided to do one. Plus it was perfect timing because today I will be cheering on for my Spurs! Those of you who have not been keeping up with the NBA finals, let me full you in. If the San Antonio Spurs win against Miami Heat then the Spurs will take home the championship trophy!  Anyways before I keep on boring you all with basquetball stuff here is Christine! Take it away girl

Hey everyone! My name is Christine and I blog over at Life With A Side Of Coffee. I am a twenty something recent college grad just starting out in her career and documenting all my
embarrassing moments and adventures. I'm a coffee and music addict, self-proclaimed vino and Hollywood obsessed. Jessica is letting me take over for a bit so I'm going to switch gears and talk about summer beauty. I'm going to share with you guys my top five favorite trends right now and how I would wear them. Ready, set, go...

1. Nail Designs
So apparently just a good ol' painted nail isn't good anymore. You have to have a design on at least one finger to be in with the cool kids. Here are some designs I just love but if you are like me and completely awful in the nail department, I love just having one finger on each hand with a little sparkle. You know? The classic, let's just run over all these nails and then put some glitter on the ring finger? Yeah, I feel that does the trick if you're in a rush or just really bad at nail art.

2. The New and Improved Smoky Eye
Color is so in right now it isn't even funny. I mean, for those of you who experienced the 80s, it must be a serious case of deja vu. Now I am a huge fan of the original smokey eye that no matter how hard you scrub at the end of the night, you still wake up with two black eyes. I'm also a huge fan of the brown smokey eye for day. It's my go to pretty much every day. Now I am much more adept when it comes to makeup compared to nail art so I might actually give a few of these ago. I happen to be pretty good at a purple smokey eye if I may say so myself. I'm actually wearing it in the selfie up top. I love the ideas but some I won't try. I mean,   I know what colors look good on me and which don't. A girl can dream though right??

3. Flower Children
I have to say, this is probably my favorite trend this year. Hair accessories are so big right now, even if it's just a few flowers in your hair. I am obsessed with flower halos and flower pins. I have a headband with flowers, flowers to put over bobby pins and a flower halo on the way as soon as I order it. I think this is such a flirty and feminine trend and there is something that works for everyone. Here are some of my favorite floral hair accessories right now that you can get for yourself. And no, I am not promoting anyone, I'm just obsessed.

So what are your favorite summer beauty trends? Will you be using any of these this summer?

Thank you for your post Christine! Make sure to stop by her blog to say hi :)
And because Christine is awesome she is giving away an 'In-post ad space' so go on and enter! GOOD LUCK.

Sunday Social #44

Due to yesterday's post "two [very] special people" I decided to postpone the Sunday Social to today.  I didn't want to have two posts on the same day, I figured it would be weird.

What is your biggest driving pet peeve?

OMG. I have SOOOO many, there are some people out there that I seriously do not know how they got their license. Seriously. I hate it when people do not use their blinker, when people drive too slow, when they haul ass and almost crash into other cars, when they ignore that a lane is about to close and wait until the last minute to merge. When they drive too close to me and when they park too close to my car giving me zero no none room to open my door. And the list could go on and on.

What is your biggest blogging pet peeve?

I also have a couple for this one and this girl just nailed every single one of them.
What is your biggest general pet peeve?

One word: WALMART.

That place makes me NUTS. From the people who walk slow and take up the while hallway, to the slow cashiers but the thing that annoys me the most about this place is the fact that people DO NOT respect the 20 items or less line. I mean seriously? How hard is it to understand that it's there for people who are not grocery shopping but only getting some things that they need? UGGGHH just talking about it pisses me off!

What is your most irrational fear?

I HATE bees, I am terrified of them.

Name 3 celebrities you'd want to have dinner with.

Ryan Gossling

And Channing Tatum  please!

Two [VERY] Special People

Today's Sunday Social will be postponed until tomorrow because today I am celebrating the two MOST important people in my life. My Mother and my Father. The people who gave me life, who taught me good values and who have given me unconditional love.

I cannot express enough how much I love my mother, she is my best friend and my source of love. I feel blessed to have her as a Mother and as a role model. She is my inspiration. ♥

Today I am also celebrating my wonderful father

To the best dad in the world:

life is full of wonders, and people say things happen for a reason. The reason my mom got that job at El Amex was so she could meet you, and we could become part of your life. And you are the reason why I'm working hard and studying hard, so I can make you proud. Thank you for everything that you have done for me, thank you for your love and patience. Thank you for your advice but most importantly thank you for being the best father a girl could ever have.

I am such a lucky girl for having not one but TWO incredible parents. I really am blessed.

Hope all the fathers in your family had a great day!

Hi beauties! Today I am introducing you to one of my sponsors, her name is Kay and she blogs over at Banini Beauty a blog about beauty, fashion, jewelry and crafts. She is located in the UK and has a You Tube channel.. how awesome is that?

Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I'm a beauty blogger who has a huge weakness for anything cute. Therefore I tend to buy products based on their packaging. Etude House is def one of my fave brands for cute packaging!

I also love to make jewellery if I have the time to spare, my main material of choice is polymer clay, Swarovski Crystal beading and felting. I did try to learn to crochet but I've given up at the moment since it's too hard!

Where can we find you?

How did you come up with your blog’s name?

It's a bit of a long story but bear with me!
Basically, back when I was at Uni after a looooong night of revision, I think it must have been like 2-3 am, we wandered back to our dorms and I noticed the Moon was in it's Crescent shape. Being a little disorientated since I was tired, I said it looked like a banana, that conversation soon ended up being about Paninis and somehow I managed to blurt out the moon was a banini! Weird, I know. That nickname then stuck with me and because my blog is about beauty, I just added it on the end to get to Banini Beauty!

What kind of posts do you write?

I write a mixture of things, although of course, since it's a beauty blog there are skincare, make up, hair care reviews etc. I do mostly write about Korean brands but I do write about Western brands as well.

As I love my crafts, there are posts on those as well whether it be jewellery or felting posts.

You will probably find the odd random posts of holidays, concerts, music and food as these are the things I love in life!

Anything special going on with your blog?

I currently have a giveaway happening which was meant to be for my blog birthday but got delayed. There are six winners, I know it's a huge amount but I had a lot of double gifts etc that I couldn't use myself and thought I would give them away!

Since there are quite a few winners, the end date of the giveaway isn't until August which is ages away I know, but I need to save for the shipping cost!

Any new products that you have tried that you would recommend to us?

I'm a recent YSL convert and I love the Babydoll Mascara, although the eyeliner and lip gloss is great too!

I also love my YSL Rouge Pur Couture Golden Lustre Rose De Saba Lipstick, the colour is so natural and it glides on well!

Anything by Urban Decay is also great and I love the OZ Theodora Palette

What are your make-up must haves?

A Make Up Primer - I love my Laneige Primer , it helps to keep oil under control and my make up stays put!

My Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer - I'd be lost without this!

A BB Cream - I love my BB Cream, I tried a CC Cream January of last year and didn't like it, so I converted back to my BB Creams. My current faves are ones by Mizon and Liole. I've tried loads of BB Creams and I have quite a few reviews on my blog. Although my first posts of these aren't that great, the embarrassment when you just start out blogging!"

What items are you lusting over?

"I'm not lusting over any make up goodies at the moment but I'm totally lusting over a Wacom Cintiq 13 HD Tablet, which, if you happen to like drawing, will know it's the newest Wacom drawing tablet that's out and the features look amazing!

I drool over every youtube video I watch over it, but since it costs over £600, I can't afford to get one just yet T_T"

Who is your fashion icon and why?

I don't really have a fashion icon as such but Yoon Eun Hye, a Korean actress, is always well dressed. I also like Japanese street fashion too although I'm not brave enough to wear those out here in the UK!

Share some of your latest accomplishments in or out of the blogging world.

Accomplishments? Hmmmm, I've not won any awards or anything like that but I'd like to think I've gained confidence in myself and it's a hobby that I look forward to doing. I'm actually surprised I've managed to blog this long so far as I tend to get into a hobby and then leave it after a few months!

I've also accomplished a lighter bank account since blogging has made me spend way more than I normally would! I blame other bloggers who blog great reviews about products which make me want to splurge!

Sunday Social #43

I think today's Social Sunday is going to be a GREAT way for all my new readers to get to know how this came to be and how my life has changed because of blogging.

How did you come up with your blog name?

When I first started my blog I did not know exactly how personal I was going to get, all I knew is that I wanted to share personal stories. I wanted to let people into my life and relate to what I had to say, I also wanted my blog to be a place where I could go and remember what I was doing a year ago, or the things I was into, sorta like a diary. So as soon as I knew the 'theme' of the blog I started thinking of names, I played with the word "diary" in the title but decided that was too obvious so I opted to look for something similar. So that is how I ended up with Girl Booklet.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Aside from meeting some pretty AMAZING people (through sponsorship  other blogs, etc) is getting good feedback. It encourages me more to keep on going and it lets me know I am doing something right.

What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without?

A lot of things! Thanks to blogging I have become addicted to social media more than I should, I am constantly checking Instagram.. oopsie! Also I am really into DYI, subscription boxes, you know your typical blogging things!

Facebook or Twitter? and why?

Twitter! Hands down! I have both apps on my phone and I am always having issues with my Facebook one, it freezes constantly, doesn't show notifications right away and if I want to manage my Facebook page I need a SECOND app. Everything is just faster and easier on Twitter, I can manage my personal and my blog account all in one app. Love it!

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?

Sarah Dessen, she is my favorite author. I would be HONORED if she ever read my blog and I would probably die a little if she left a comment!!!

What is something you want people to know about your blog?

I want people to know that I am 110% honest when it comes down to reviews, just because I got a product does not mean I am going to lie so you can get it and I get credit for it. That's not how it works, I tell you what I think, I keep it real yo!

Today I am introducing you to Dee from Boutique Sui Numeris. Not only is it based in Austin, Texas (sorry, I am one of those people with Texas pride) but Boutique Sui Numeris has some INCREDIBLE pieces that will set you apart from other women! So aside from introducing you to this fabulous boutique we are also celebrating Boutique Sui Numeris 1 year anniversary! And what better way to celebrate than a giveaway?!? (look for it at the end of the interview!)

Tell me a little bit about yourself!

My name is Dee.  I am probably the most super laid back chick like ever… ever.  Even though, I graduated from college almost a decade ago, I am reliving my college years.  Fun times, good living, and a bunch of college T-shirts.  I have enough University of Texas T-shirts to fill an entire closet, and I’m a lover of college football.  No, you don’t understand…I love college football.

Tell me about your shop!

Sidney (bride)                                Arista (black)                          Lara (soiree)
Boutique Sui Numeris is a fun online boutique for ladies who are so tired of looking like the next girl.  We love to dress ladies who own their own trends and think outside of the box.  We offer something for everyone…brand names like Valentino, Dior, and Badgley Mischka, vintage pieces that are guaranteed to get some stares, and everything in between.  The boutique has 5 way cool categories: 1) accessories, 2) bridal, 3) vintage, 4) soireĆ©, 5) and little black dresses.  We even offer gift cards, perfect as a last minute gift for the sophisticated, selective online shopper!

What inspired you to start your shop?

After attending an all-white yacht party where almost all the girls wore the same white dresses, I thought it was time to introduce Boutique Sui Numeris.  So many beautiful girls at this party, but many people were uncomfortable because everywhere you turn, there was the same dress! Even though there are so many shopping options, many stores carry similar items, so we all look the same.  Boutique Sui Numeris is designed for people who enjoy timeless fashion but still want something different, something fun, and something that screams “POW!” when you step out.

How did you come up with your shop’s name?

Boutique Sui Numeris, pronounced is classic Latin for “of its own rank”.  We dance to the beat of our own tune and do our own thing and we represent for the all the girls who aim to be trendsetters!

Shop's Social media:

Any specials going on during the month of June in your shop?

Boutique Sui Numeris is giving away (4) $15.00 gift certificates and (1) $30.00 gift certificates to Girl Booklet readers to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!  Woohoo!
To qualify, readers must like Boutique Sui Numeris on Facebook, follow them on Pinterest, and be a Twitter fan!  Also make sure to follow on Instagram!

And lastly share your favorite piece from your shop with us! Why is it your favorite?

Our favorite piece is the “Nyla” dress—the power shoulders, the tailored pleats, the ladylike length, and the back of this dress.  Yes, have you seen the back? LOV. It. All.!

Now let's celebrate!!!
