Sunday Social #7

I'm baaaaaacccck!! And let me tell you, I feel soo much better now. I want to thank everyone who left a comment on my last post and wished I would get well soon. It means a lot!

I am glad I was able to write this week's Sunday Social because the questions are all about childhood! I am linking up with Ashley from Ashley's Carnival Ride and Neely from A Complete Waste of Make Up for today's Social Sunday.

1. What do you miss most about being a kid?
I miss the days were homework was just coloring, where the only thing I had to worry about was to wake up early enough on Saturdays to watch cartoons. Where no one judged you, everyone was friends with everyone and boys broke your crayons, not your heart.

2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?
I honestly did not have a nickname. Wish I had a cute nickname like Blair from Gossip Girl. I mean how cute is "Blair-Bear"? I think it's adorable!

3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
One word: Hopscotch. Best.Game.Ever

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a secretary, I thought that was what a business woman was all about. But as I grew up I realized there was more than that.
Now Sandra B's character in the proposal is my role model. She has a great job, a cool office, an assistant, a great home, AMAZING clothes AND she gets the hot guy! (Of course I wouldn't be a beeyatch to my employees)

5. What was your favorite toy?
via
I was a Barbie Girl :)
And I was extremely addicted to my Tamagotchi!

6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
So when I was little (I don't know whose Idea it was) I made a music video. My mom dressed me up and did my hair. I sang my heart out while my uncle recorded the whole thing. He even edited the video to look like a music video. The whole thing is soo embarrassing now, but whenever I watch the video it seems like I had the time of my life.

This is not the post I wanted to write..

I am currently all covered up in my blanky (even tho it is 92 degrees outside and 75 degrees inside the apartment) my nose is runny, I am sneezing every 5 minutes and I have a headache, While people might look forward to the season change, I dread it. My allergies get really bad around the beginning  of spring and then later around the beginning of fall.

I guess I should reconsider doing 'scheduled posts' for when things like this happen, but I just feel like I am writing just to stay relevant, not because it's something that happened to me recently. I know that a lot of bloggers are into this, and even scheduled posts for months to come. I think that is a little overboard.

I want to stay true to my readers and talk about the present, not something that happened to me 6 months ago. Besides I know that my readers will understand that there are times where things like this happen and I need to be away for a couple of days until I get better.

Or what do you guys think? What is your opinion on scheduled posts? Yay or nay? Would love to hear some feedback!

Sunday Social #6

Let's get this started! I amlinking up withAshley from Ashley's Carnival Ride and Neely from A Complete Waste of Make Up for today's Social Sunday.

1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
Skydiving. It looks awesome! But I don't know if I have the guts to do it =/
2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully living in either Portland or Seattle! Having an office of my own, where I can be the business woman I always wanted to be.

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
via
The holidays! I love spending time with my family

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
That it continues to be interesting to my readers and that it continues to grow!

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?

I've always wanted big things for myself, so I always pictured myself running around New York wearing amazing clothes just like Carrie from Sex and the City :) Right now I live in a small town, and I can tell you that I cannot wait to leave this place and go somewhere new and exciting.

6. What is your morning routine?
Hit the snooze buttons like ten times lol, just kidding! I only hit it twice. Then I brush my teeth, take a shower. Do my hair, make-up, change and have breakfast. Nothing exciting really.

Where do I even start?

This morning I woke up kind of grumpy and tired since I went to bed so late and woke up early for school, (although I have no one to blame but myself.) But as the hours passed my day started to get better and better. The first thing that brightened my day was a birthday reminder. Today is my baby cousin's FIRST birthday! As soon I saw his precious face I fell in love with him. If you have been keeping up with my posts then you might have a guess of who I am talking about :)

                  HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY AIDEN!!

This pic always makes me laugh !

So tomorrow I am going to go see him and kiss him to death! Can't wait to see my little guy. Now to the other event that brightened my day during my astronomy class our teacher informed us that the space shuttle "Endeavour" would be flying across Las Cruces on its trip to NASA's Dryden Flight Research Facility in Southern California for retirement. So we actually  got to go outside and see it fly by school!

This was actually pretty cool to watch, I wish I could share the photos that I took with my own phone but  while the i-phone is a pretty awesome phone it has a crappy camera...And lastly,

when I checked my blog this morning I had 200 followers! This makes me so happy, thank you ALL so much, it means a lot that you wanna keep up with my little blog. And of course just like when I hit 100 followers I will be doing a giveaway, so stay tuned! Once again thank you all!

Sunday Social #5

So I missed last week's Sunday social because I was out of town hanging out with my family, (read about it here) but I am making sure I don't miss it this time! So of course I am linking up withAshley from Ashley's Carnival Ride and Neely from A Complete Waste of Make Up.

1. 5 items you can't live without on a daily basis(water, food, shelter, and clothes dont count)

The first thing would have to be my contacts,  I don't want to be like this lady lol

Then it would be my iphone, which I pretty much consider my personal assistant! And of course my flat iron. Without it my hair would be a complete mess! My make up and lastly my family (including my boyfriend) they are my everything.

2. All time favorite book? Why?
I actually don't have a favorite book, just a favorite author, well authors.

The first is Sarah Dessen, I own all of her books, they are all inspiring and unique.  LOVE them :)

And of course J. K Rowling, because of her amazing Harry Potter series.

3. Something you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2012

I have sooo many goals set up for my self and for my blog.  But I would love to keep on getting fit and reaching my weight goal :)

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?
My boyfriend and I were actually talking  about this last night! So weird. I would have to say when I was 19. It was such an AMAZING year!

5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?
Probably that sometimes I tend to care too much. I wish I could help everyone that crosses my path. I like helping my friends when they have a problem and I like to spoil those who matter to me the most.

Questions from another post

So
As I was reading through the different blogs that I follow I came across this particular post by Miss Ali from All things Pink & Sparkly  she did a post on 'boyfriend Q & A' that she found on Google. By the way, I think that overall my boyfriend did good! He won't be sleeping on the couch haha.

The reason I was absent this past Sunday from my blog

If you have been keeping up with my blog then you have noticed that I have been joining the Social Sunday posts, I love doing them because I feel that by answering the different questions that are posted my readers get to know me a little bit better! Unfortunately I had to skip it this past Sunday because I was out of town visiting my family.

I saw some family members that I had not seen in ages! And it felt awesome to hang out with all of them and have a good time. So I thought I would share a couple of pictures with you from my AMAZING Sunday! :)

This is my baby cousin Aiden, yes he is the same little baby from my previous post "A letter to you" He is such a smart little boy, he actually took this picture! I just held up the phone and he just clicked the button away! he took like 10 pictures lol he is so cute!

I like to call this look the 'Alfalfa do" (from the Little Rascals) all he is missing is the little hair sticking up.

And of course there had to be a bathroom pic

When my family gets together we always play Loteria, it's a family tradition. If you don't know what this is it's pretty much the "Mexican Bingo"

I tried taking a full family pic but every one was doing their own thing and all over the place, so I just gathered all the people I could for the pic!

I have always been a family person, I love hanging out with them and make great memories together :)

I believe it is time for a change.

If there is one thing I cannot stand is how sneaky my hair ties are, I swear some of them are the kings of hide and seek, because it takes me AGES to find them, or sometimes I don't find them at all. So after my  second to last hair tie decided to play I finally got fed up and decided to buy a whole new pack. As I was walking the VERY crowded halls of Walmart (for what seemed like an eternity) I stumbled upon all the hair products, which included all the hair dyes, I kid you not I stood in that hallway for like 30 minutes trying to debate if I should try and do something different with my hair. After finally deciding that 'yes' it was time for me to try something different I narrowed my choices to two.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

You may be thinking "wow, those are two completely different directions" And I will have to agree with you. But let me explain why I was torn between these two colors. I am a Gossip Girl fan, I read the books even before the series became a hit, and if you have seen the show then you know Jessica Szhor (who plays Vanessa) has a gorgeous black mane

Isn't it gorgeous? So that is why I picked the black hair dye, now for the redish brown color I had Leighton Meester who plays my favorite character (Blair) in mind.

In season 5 of Gossip Girl Leighton Meester's hair was a reddish brown and I totally LOVED it! The two choices are completely different so that is why it took me a while to decide which one I could pull off and which one I could live with. So after what seemed like forever I finally made up my mind (which I did on my own by the way since my boyfriend was no help whatsoever) so the color I chose....

Medium Auburn Brown!

I am so excited to try his hair color! As you have noticed I have been a little absent from my blog and that is because I have been busy, between work, school, homework and being an Assistant Coach I have barely had any time to sleep, let alone blog. BUT I have made some arrangements to my schedule so hopefully I will have time to do all the things I love, including blogging. So with that said I will have to wait for my next free time to do my hair, I hope it turns out good! Cannot wait to FINALLY make a change to my hair and I cannot wait to show you guys how it turned out!
