I did it! And it feels so good.

When I used to live with my parent's I had it made, I had a huge room, a good job and the only bill I had was my phone. So I pretty much had a lot of money to go out, to go shopping, and to afford a gym membership and gas to drive to said gym.

But ever since I moved out I started spending all my money on rent, the electric, cable and internet, and the list goes on and on. So since I moved out I had to make some adjustments, and getting rid of my gym membership was one of them, along with learning how to cook. So not exercising on top of eating fast food because I was lazy to cook just made me gain weight. I don't know exactly how much weight I gained because after I couldn't fit into my jeans anymore I was scared to look.

I'm not saying that I am unhappy with the way I look, I'm just not used to it. I'm not used to being so out of shape and not being able to run 5-6 miles in an hour at the gym, that's what makes me sad. I love running, it helps me clear my mind and that is how I used to release some stress. So today for the first time in almost two years I went to the gym at school after yoga and stepped on a treadmill.

The one machine that I used to know like the back of my hand seemed so foreign, it took me a second to remember how to work it. But after  as soon as I took that first step I felt happiness flow through my veins, it may sound silly but its true. I am going to start slow and go to the cardio room whenever I get a chance, I want to get my pace back and be able to run and just keep on running without almost fainting.
