Zsa Zsa Zsu

Have you ever  found yourself in a relationship where that "Zsa Zsa Zsu" feeling seemed to be faiding? Not gone, but just not as strong as it was at the start of the relationship? I have.

If you are not familiar with Sex and the City then you probably don't know what Zsa Zsa Zsu means, let me explain it to you. It is "that feeling you get with someone you really really like, that sort of lovely, butterflies feeling ". And as Carrie would say "That feeling where you not only like the person but you just gotta have them."

Love is supposed to get stronger with time, but sometimes that's not the case. So how do you keep the love alive? Or how do you bring back the Zsa Zsa Zsu into your life?

Well my boyfriend and I do little things for each other, after all, those are the ones that matter. For example, whenever we happen to spend the night away from each other we write each other a note.

And the best part is that we don't just give it to each other, we hide them! For example when my boyfriend went to Phoenix with his family he took our Game Boy DS  to use on the road, so I hid the note in there.

We also give each other presents at random, we don't go too crazy, we just get something we know the other one will like.

Last time he went to the mall he bought me this! As some of you know I am OBSESSED with Marilyn Monroe so it was perfect! You can check out my MARILYN post here.

We also talk. If something is bothering one of us we let the other one know. There is no point in bottling things up, because after a while of keeping things to yourself you will one day explode and you might say things that you will regret.  We are also  honest with each other and don't hide things, unless it;s a surprise of course ;)

How do you and your significant other keep the Zsa Zsa Zsu alive?

Sunday Social #24

What is your ideal way to relax?

001-4 photo 001-4.jpg

In the summer I just LOVE laying under the sun while reading a good book!
Or when it's winter time I like to take long baths :)

Where is your favorite place to be?

Honestly? My parents house, I grew up there so of course it feels more like home to me rather than the apartment I live in. I don't mean it in a bad way, I just like being at my parents house cuz I get to hang out with my mom and see my dogs.

Who do you consider your biggest role model?

 photo 4cdb8e38.jpg

My Mother. No doubt about it. She is my everything, my mother, my best friend, my source of love, my role model, my rock, my shoulder to cry on. Oh man I could go on and on. but yeah she has taught me no NEVER give up, and be happy with what you got.

What does your life look like in 3 years?

I will be a college grad! (woohoo!) And hopefully I will be have a Full time job and hopefully living in Portland! :)

If you could go back and change one decision, what would it be?

When I stopped working out, I was finally in a place where I was in good shape AND exercising was part of my every day routine. Now I just keep on putting it off >.<

What is your biggest accomplishment in life so far?

Going to college and almost being done with it! Both my brother and sister decided that college was not for them and I was afraid I was going to feel the same way, but luckily (despite all those late nights studying , and memorizing things that I have yet to use in real life) I like college (:

And my second accomplishment would be moving out, I am home sick a lot but I have managed to live on my own for almost two years now!

Campus Book Rentals

School started last Friday and I have yet to get my books. I am usually pretty good about getting all my stuff ready before the first day of school but I have just been so busy with work, with my blog and doing some spring cleaning at the apartment that it totally slipped my mind!  I NEVER buy my books, I figure I can just rent them and save the money, instead of buying them and having them waste space in my closet I rent them.

This year I came across Campus Book Rentals, and I am really liking them! I looked up a book that I need for one of my classes at Barnes and Noble and Campus Book rentals to do a price comparison and here are the price differences:

Operation Smile

2012

"2012 is a new year, with a mix of old and new in our making a difference program. First off, we’re keeping our partnership with Operation Smile. They are an awesome organization that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We’re honored to support the children of Operation Smile.

We've also set aside $90,000 in textbook scholarships to be distributed to students in communities just like yours. That’s a lot of books, and we hope to touch a lot of students who could use a hand.
So add that extra book to your cart. When you rent textbooks from us, you make a difference."  To learn more about Operation smile just click here

MEET SABZ! [SPONSOR L♥VE]

I want to introduce you to another one of my sponsors, her name is Sabz and she blogs over at "The Eclectic grab Bag." She started  blogging back in September (you can read her first post here) and has come along way since then! Just remember that COMMENTS ARE OFF!! why? Because I'd love for you to stop by and check out her blog! Leave her some love and PLEASE let her know I sent you! :) Let's get started!

Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I was born, raised and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I am a proud wife to a man I stalked on Match.com [OK, I didn't stalk him, but found his picture and fell in love...contacted him and we've been inseparable ever since] and mom of two of the brightest, happiest, wonderful children [The G's] who's life has become a 'grab bag' of the accumulated things I've come to really love in life.

What/who inspired you to start blogging?

One of my long time friends was blogging and introduced me to the idea and I've been hooked ever since.

Where can we find you?

What kind of posts can we find on your blog?

My blog is a lifestyle blog, so you will find everything and anything on my blog. There is no one subject.

It could be about my family, outings we go on, the G's [my kids], products I love, or hate...
my blog is semi-new so there are a lot of things I haven't touched on yet, so if you're new to my blog, you'll be able to grow with me!

What are you loving at the moment?

I love HauteLook.com...way too much. Especially when they have high end makeup on sale at SUPER cheap.

Do you have anything special going on with your blog?

There is a mega giveaway going on right now with Peacoats and Plaid. Come enter to win :)

And finally, what advice would you give other bloggers?

I've learned that you have to network like crazy, leave comments that mean something on other blogs and remember those that you've met, every new contact could be an important one.

The New Year is here! What are your New Year resolutions?
My new year has started with me UBER sick. Really sick...going on 10 days, so at this point, it's to get better and really get my 2013 started.
