This is not the post I wanted to write..
I am currently all covered up in my blanky (even tho it is 92 degrees outside and 75 degrees inside the apartment) my nose is runny, I am sneezing every 5 minutes and I have a headache, While people might look forward to the season change, I dread it. My allergies get really bad around the beginning of spring and then later around the beginning of fall.
I guess I should reconsider doing 'scheduled posts' for when things like this happen, but I just feel like I am writing just to stay relevant, not because it's something that happened to me recently. I know that a lot of bloggers are into this, and even scheduled posts for months to come. I think that is a little overboard.
I want to stay true to my readers and talk about the present, not something that happened to me 6 months ago. Besides I know that my readers will understand that there are times where things like this happen and I need to be away for a couple of days until I get better.
Or what do you guys think? What is your opinion on scheduled posts? Yay or nay? Would love to hear some feedback!

I have the same problem with seasonal changes. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteAs for the scheduled posts... I do it when I know ahead of time I won't be able to write that day. Plus, with Halloween coming up, I find it's less stress on me if I write a few ahead of where I'm actually at. It gives me a little leeway to pursue my "crafts" in their own time (and money).
Thank you!I am feeling much better now, just have the sniffles!
DeleteThat is true, it would probably be a good idea to schedule some posts around the holidays. Thanks for the input! I appreciate it :)

I hope you feel better soon. I hate the seasons changing because I have no control over the heat in my apartment and it's always super cold before they turn the heat on and then it's like summer inside. That's old school buildings for you.
ReplyDeleteAs for scheduled posts, I think it depends on the content and how far out you schedule. I might schedule a post a few days ahead of time. Usually things like my goals for that month or other lists.
Found you via the Hop.
Thank you! And geez, that sucks. At least they actually work and you are not freezing to death the whole time!
DeleteThank you for the feedback, I might just do it a few days at a time!

Aww! I hope you feel better, that's no good! It's going around my job, fingers crossed I don't get it! My immune system hates me though. Drink lots of fluids & rest up, you'll be back in the swing of things in no time!

Thank you! I sure hope you didn't get sick because it sucks :(

Ps. Thinks for the tips! I tried them and they helped :)
Feel better. The best remedy is taking a long (very, very long) bath in epsom salt (lots and lots of salt). Add some lavender if you have it around. Salt naturally pulls the toxins from your body. Best healing around. If you don't have a bath, try soaking your feet.
ReplyDeleteRegarding posts. Do what feels right to you. If your readers don't understand your need to be gone for a few days, then so be it. Anyone who values you, wouldn't blink an eye.
Rest up and see you in a few.
Thank you! I've never heard of that remedy before, and so I tried it. Man did it feel good. So relaxing too! So thank you for that :)
DeleteAnd thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!

Hope you feel better soon. Found you through the giveaway at Rushing for Bagels.
ReplyDeleteI only schedule posts for 1-2 days in advance but never more than that, I agree that I want to keep it current!
I have a giveaway right now for a great statement necklace, hope you will stop by!
Thanks, I am now :)
DeleteAnd I appreciate the feedback! I think 1-2 days is not bad at all!

Ps. Thanks for letting me know about the giveaway :)
DeleteSo it's now Sunday evening. I hope you're feeling much better! I'm sick with a super sore throat and stuffy nose. :( It's been like this all weekend, so I'm hoping things will simmer down.
ReplyDeleteAnd regarding your posting. I may schedule some posts a day or two in advance. [Or like the night before so it just comes out the next morning...then the following night, repeat! That way, my readers still get the relevance of my post!] But a lot of the time I'll just write something up and post it. But do what you feel is best for YOUR blog. Everybody has their own ways. :)
I actually am! Just have the sniffles, which is nothing compared to what I had. I hope you get better soon :)
DeleteThat's a good idea to do it a night before so it can go live the following day. Thank you!

Hope you feel better soon! As for scheduled posts, IF I schedule mine they are only a week at a time. I will usually spend the weekend getting the next week's posts together so the posts are really about a week old in real life, if that! :) I'm never more than a week ahead of schedule.
ReplyDeleteThanks I already am! :)
Deletemmm yeah I like that, a week is not so bad. Thank you so much for your feedback :)
